Nuba Orphanage and Widows Home Inc ('NOAH')

Our Statement

James 1:27 "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."

Our vision

Our vision is to see orphans and widows (throughout the Nuba Region and beyond) educated in such a way that they will become financially self-sufficient.

This website has been designed to help visitors know the situations that orphans and widows experience in the Nuba Mountains of South Kordofan, Sudan.

Also the website is intended to be a practical link through which the Nuba people (and others) can support their needy brothers and sisters in the Nuba Mountains.

Due to the war and conflicts in the region of the Nuba Mountains, there are massive numbers of orphans and widows who need your help (and help from many others as well). Since 1984, the civil war in Sudan has meant that the people of the Nuba Mountains have been through extremely tough times. This war has killed thousands of innocent young people, women, children and elderly Nuba citizens. More recently, the Nuba region has multiple needs for survival which centre around:

Education and training,
Health care,
Food supply, and
Restoration of life sustainability.

The people of Nuba Mountains have a vision

Nuba can support themselves without external assistance if the international community would prevent aerial bombardment from government jet fighters. Nuba people could produce enough food from agricultural schemes and other means of food supply.

We do ask you, while visiting our website, to consider the many needs of the people in the Nuba Mountains and if possible to give your handfuls of support and contribution to any of our projects. We do believe that even with small amounts of support, it makes an impact on the circumstances of these needy people.

Our projects involve the gathering of adult orphans and widows from various parts of the Nuba Mountains and empowering them with many practical skills, (through education, training and workshops), to become financially self-sufficient. These people then turn around and skill the people of their local villages to bring about a better standard of living. We continue to support as many children orphans as possible by providing school uniforms and school fees.

Once again thank you for visiting our website. By the Grace of God we will arrive at a situation where Nuba will recover from war and re-establish new life.
